What is Best of North Carolina?
It's a website dedicated to identifying the absolute "BEST" things as determined by the people who live, work in and visit North Carolina. You determine the best of anything and everything from restaurants and bars to activities, resorts, hotels, apartments, boutiques, salons, spas, daycare providers, schools, doctors, hospitals, real estate agents, contractors, golf courses, designers, event planners, wedding venues and more. In a nutshell, Best of North Carolina is a quick and easy place to learn about the best of everything the state, and its cities, has to offer!
How do I get started using Best of North Carolina?
It's easy! To start you just need to sign-up and become a Best Of North Carolina Member. Registration is easy and free and don't worry, your info is safe with us! We have a strict no-spam policy and will never share your information. Plus we'll keep you posted on all the best offers and happenings in your neighborhood.
Once you're a member, you can also use the SquawkBox on the homepage. The SquawkBox allows you to "Squawk About" all the places and things you think are the Best of North Carolina. All you need to do is click on New Squawk, Sign In, and you're free to share "the best" of everything with the rest of the North Carolina community. You can even add photos and videos to your Squawks to "show" us why they are the BEST! We'll also be launching our mobile app in early 2010, so you can Squawk-On-The-Go in real time from your phone, while enjoying your favorite places.
Can anyone offer their opinion as to what they think is "best?"
Absolutely! That's what is so great about the Best of North Carolina. The people in the community share their opinions and descriptions of their favorite experiences. We also feature Editor's Picks, which you can read about in The Squawker Blog.

Like many of you, we have been on a quest to find the best things to do and discover in our neighborhood, city and state.

Whether you were North Carolina born and bred or are a recent resident, your opinion counts and we want you to share it here. We endeavor to have our community determine what the BEST places are to have fun, eat, play, take families, date, shop and stay.
You will find many North Carolina businesses and places to go in our listings. You can book reservations or appointments right here. You will find out more about deals in and around your destination, whether for everyday errands or special trips. Most importantly, you have the power to comment on everything these businesses offer. If our readership finds that any of these businesses don't belong as part of the Best List, we will remove them from our content and remove them as advertisers on our site.
You will notice you can interact with other readers about their special finds. With our integration into the social media sphere, you and your friends can create an honest dialog and tout the BEST of our community in order to promote it locally to your friends, as well as those who are visiting.
